Brainerd Small Business Tour Highlights

SBA’s Minnesota District Director Brian McDonald and Deputy Twila Kennedy got out of the office during National Small Business Week for a visit to the rural Brainerd area.

On Monday we visited several businesses with the Small Business Development Center and the Women’s Business Alliance of Little Falls. Tuesday we visited several more small businesses  with the Initiative Foundation and other partners in the downtown area.

National Small Business Week Wrap-up

Although the National Small Business Week Virtual Summit has ended, content and information is still available online, including these main sessions:

Positioning Hispanic Owned Businesses for Success in Gov’t Contracting

This one day event is designed to help Hispanic / Latino owned businesses better position themselves for government contracting. SBA’s Economic Development Specialist Maribel Reigstad will be presenting during this one day event to give you insight on what the SBA has to offer your small business when it comes to government contracting.

Video Series Promoting Wellness for Small Business Owners

The Northwest SBDC has launched a website with videos promoting wellness and self-care for small business owners throughout the Northwest Minnesota region. There are currently six short videos from local experts speaking to a variety of wellness topics.
