Small Business Exporting Grant Opportunity

The Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development, and the Small Business Administration are hosting a webinar at 10 a.m. April 27 about the State Trade Expansion Program.

Through awards to the state, STEP assists Vermont small businesses overcome obstacles to exporting by providing grants to cover costs associated with entering and expanding into international markets, such as foreign trade missions, export training, compliance, IT support and more. Since the program was established in 2010, Vermont has received more than $2.3 million in STEP grants.

The webinar will also highlight programs offered by the U.S. Export Assistance Center and Export-Import Bank of U.S.

MicroBusiness Lending Panel May 4

The Small Business Administration and Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity are hosting a virtual microbusiness lending panel at 11 a.m. May 4.

Learn about programs and benefits offered by each organization, loan application processes, what is needed to borrow small amounts of capital for a microbusiness, and much more.

Whether in the planning stage or are already running a business, the panelists are ready to answer questions.

BIPOC

BIPOC Business Roundtables

The Vermont Partnership for Fairness & Diversity is hosting a series of virtual BIPOC business roundtables. These roundtables will inform recommendations to the State of Vermont on how best to support BIPOC business development.

Each hourlong roundtable will have between 8 to 12 participants. Curtiss Reed, Jr., President & CEO of the CRJ Consulting Group, L3C, will facilitate each roundtable. Key findings will be shared with our growing list of over 500 BIPOC-owned businesses and relevant State agencies.

Each roundtable is at 7 p.m. and are on the following dates:

– June 1
