HUBZone Program

Registration is open for a free May 24, 2022 webinar — presented by SBA’s Delaware and Maine offices — detailing the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program, a federal government contracting program administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration that helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities. The May 24 webinar details the HUBZone Program’s eligibility criteria, benefits, and application process, as well as program updates designed to make it easier for qualified small businesses to participate in the HUBZone program.

The HUBZone Program’s mission is to promote job growth, and capital investment to small businesses located in economically distressed communities designated as HUBZones. Notably, the federal government is goaled to award at least three percent (3%) of federal contract dollars to HUBZone-certified companies each year.
