Through its
Office of Native American Affairs, the SBA has taken proactive steps to honor our Nation’s responsibilities and update policies affecting the Agency’s ability to operate within a government-to-government relationship with federally recognized indigenous
Tribes and Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) and to consult with tribal governments and ANCs before finalizing SBA policies that have implications for these stakeholders.

CARES Business Recovery to Help Minority Small Businesses
The Grow by Invoice2go Program awards of up to $15,000 to help small business owners from minority communities take their next steps.
1. Entrant must be small business (<10 employees and <1 million gross revenue),
2. Less than 5 years old,
3. That is majority owned, operated, and controlled by a minimum of one U.S. resident who identifies as Asian-Indian, Asian-Pacific, Black, Latino, Native American, Arab and other Middle Eastern Americans, Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders, and Alaska
Natives, (or identifies as a member of the BIPOC community), a member of the LGBTQ+ community, or a person with a disability.
The next deadline is Feb. 28, 2022 . Apply by submitting in 200 words or less, an explanation about your business and how winning would support your business and community.

On November 18, during the National Apprenticeship Week celebration in NH,
Associated Builders and Contractors of New Hampshire and Vermont (ABC NH/VT) in partnership with
New Hampshire Homebuilders Association (NHHBA) signed standards to create a new three-year
Registered Carpentry Apprenticeship program through the ApprenticeshipNH initiative and with
Manchester Community College (MCC).
This new consortium program will help address the shortage and demand for carpenters across the state by connecting with nearly 900 employers in the combined ABC NH/VT and NHHBA associations.
