If the answer to any of these questions is “Yes,” please register for “My Business Still Needs Help” webinar hosted by the Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission, presented in conjunction with the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, and the Small Business Development Center.

4.The SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program (EIDL), which is still available to small businesses, and has a 3.75% fixed interest rate.

Cybersecurity for Small Business

Learn the basics for protecting your business from cyber-attacks. The Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) cybersecurity program for small business includes information on 12 cybersecurity topics. In this webinar, we will provide information on the most common ones, including phishing, ransomware, email authentication, choosing a web host, physical security, and secure remote access. You’ll also learn how you can use the free resources from the FTC to train your employees and help keep your business data and computers safe.

This webinar is presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration in conjunction with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

Scams Targeting Small Business: How to Spot and Avoid Them

As a small business owner, you have a lot on your mind. You can’t afford to lose time or money to scammers. In this webinar, you’ll hear from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) about common current scams that target small businesses, particularly in the times of the coronavirus. You’ll learn about scammers’ tactics and steps that you can take to protect your company from scams.

Lesley Fair is a Senior Attorney with the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. After litigating false advertising and fraud cases for more than 20 years, she now specializes in outreach to businesses. She is the primary author of the FTC Business Blog, business.ftc.gov, which the American Bar Association Journal named to its Best Blog List. An experienced presenter and teacher, Lesley has been on the faculty of the Catholic University School of Law since 1984 and holds the title of Distinguished Lecturer. She also teaches Consumer Protection Law at the George Washington University Law School. Lesley is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Texas School of Law.
