Before you apply for a business loan, first attend a free financing roundtable. We will debunk the myths and demystify the process of small business financing. The “team” is a banker, an SBA representative, an SBA business counselor, and business owners like
you. You will get first hand information on what credit criteria a lender is looking for. The team will answer all of your financing questions and give you advice on what steps to take to achieve your goal of starting or expanding a business. We will explain
how the SBA loan guarantee can work for you. The roundtables are best suited for those who have good credit, a solid business idea, and some money to invest in the business.

Meet with area banks and credit unions to discuss your business lending needs and find a lender that is a match for your business! Please be prepared to speak with lenders. This includes bringing copies of your current business plan, cash flow projections
and your credit score. If you need assistance with developing the business plan and cash flow projections, please contact the SBA funded Michigan Small Business Development Center to set up an appointment at (269) 387-6004.
