Register for SBA Free-of-Charge Small Business Webinars Presented through the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce Virtual Learning Series

This March, Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce’s virtual learning series featuring SBA Delaware small-business-building webinars continues. The free-of-charge series aims to stoke growth and COVID-19 recovery by increasing black-owned Delaware small business’s access to those programs. Registration is required to participate.

Introduction to the Woman-Owned Small Business Federal Government Contracting Program: Learn the benefits, eligibility criteria, and application process for the Woman-Owned Small Business Federal Government Contracting Program. The Woman-Owned Small Business Set-Aside Program is an initiative created by the SBA to provide greater contracting opportunities for Woman-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) by allowing certain federal contracts to be competed only among businesses registered as a WOSB. The certification process for WOSBs has changed.

Access to Capital: learn how lending institutions evaluate small business loan request.  Specific topics Include: how a lender evaluates your application; how the Small Business Administration (SBA) helps when a lender says “No”; SBA Financial Programs; and other resources available to small business

Introduction to the HUBZone Federal Government Contracting Program: Learn the benefits, eligibility requirements, and application of the HUBZone federal government contracting program. The Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities. The Program’s mission is to promote job growth, and capital investment to small businesses located in these economically distressed communities. The HUBZone program fuels small business growth in historically underutilized business zones with a goal of awarding at least three percent (3%) of federal contract dollars to HUBZone-certified companies each year.
