Island Biz
Happy New Year and welcome to Island Biz!
Aloha! My name is Hazel Beck and I am honored to serve as your Deputy District Director for the Hawaii-Pacific Islands SBA District Office in Honolulu. As some of you know, this is the second time I have the privilege of working with small businesses in Hawaii
and the Western Pacific. I led an amazing team at the West Hawaii Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Kailua Kona from 2009 through 2015.
Working with our District Director, Mark Spain, our goal is to equitably serve our entire region. My team and I will be on the Neighbor Islands once a quarter, working with Lenders, Chambers of Commerce and our Resource Partners to bring the SBA’s programs,
services and training to you! Mark will be doing the same in the Western Pacific.
Island Biz will be a part of our future newsletters. If you have any comments or a topic that you would like discussed, please email
hazel.beck@sba.gov
We look forward to working with you. Wishing you a healthy and prosperous 2022!
