USMC National Museum Sherman Tank Transportation & Salvage

The purpose of this requirement is to recover M4A3 Sherman s/n 50296, currently located at Range 106 on the west side of Marine Corps Base (MCB) Twentynine Palms. This will require a crane to lift the 30-ton tank and load onto an RGN semi-trailer for transportation back to the NMMC’s Museum Support Facility (MSF) at 17001 Interstate Dr, Dumfries, VA.

In addition to recovering s/n 50296, services are also required to salvage usable parts from the hull of M4A3 s/n 62179 also located on MCB Twentynine Palms. Parts required are the two runs of tracks, all ten road wheels, .... Read More
