Bureau of Land Management Redding Field Office is requesting 295 acres of hand thinning, hand piling, and pile covering of hazard fuels in fire prone areas on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) administered public lands within the Swasey Recreation Area in the Redding area of Shasta County, CA. Heavy accumulations of hazardous fuels on public lands within the Swasey Recreation Area have created elevated wildfire threat to infrastructure and resources.
