SUBMARINE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to Huntington Ingalls Incorporated - Newport News Shipbuilding, 4101 Washington Ave, Newport News, VA 23607. The contract will be for engineering and technical design tasks in support of Research and Development (R&D) of advanced submarine technologies for current and future submarine platforms projects.  The contract will also contain an ordering provision for material, prototype hardware, and minor R&D projects.   The contemplated contract will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-3 (a)(2)(i).  Parties interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Huntington Ingalls Incorporated ....
