USACE via a contract, operated a groundwater extraction and treatment system to control and remediate impacted groundwater from the Price Landfill Superfund site (Site) located in Absecon, New Jersey. Operation of the groundwater treatment plant to recover and treat groundwater began in 2013. The well field consists of 13 shallow extraction wells and 4 deep extraction wells.
