Sea Lice Genotyping

The USDA Agricultural Research Service requires DNA extraction from sea lice (Lepeophtheirus salmonis) and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping.  Lice tissue samples will consist of single pre-adult or adult animals that have been preserved in ethanol.   Sea lice DNA genotyping will be completed using AXIOM LSAL200K 96-ARRAY genotyping in the 96-well format (Thermo-Fisher SKU number 550522) on the GeneTitan Instrument or equal.
