RFI Question: Does Bldg 1408 and 1409 need a NEW lightning protection system, including new downleads and grounds, to meet the requirements provided in the amendment?

Response: Just the points that are in contact with new roof system. The Lightening Protection is on both buildings now. The problem is that, its copper. We are changing the roof system from concrete tils to a steel roof system. Copper cannot be used on a metal roof system. So all points connected to the new roof system has the be aluminum. Amendment 001 - 23 September 2025

The purpose of this Amendment is to:
a) To extend the proposal receipt date to 12PM CDT, 26 September 2025.
b) Add updated drawings for this requirement (Note drawings Building 862; to read Remove concrete tiles. Repair decking and install Boral Tile-Seal or equal. Install Stone Coated Steel).
c) Demolish the existing lightning protection system from concrete tile roof system at attic and convert to medal roofing system. Design and install a new system in accordance with NFPA 780. The new system must be tested and certified by Lightning Protection .... Read More

The drawings call for Asphalt Shingles.  Is this correct or will the new roof system be Stone Coated Steel? Drawing A-1 says to install stone coated steel.
