NX EQ Lasers Ho-YAG

The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Non-Expendable Equipment National Program has identified the Holmium (Ho-YAG) Surgical Lasers product line as a candidate for a VA-wide (otherwise referred to as “national”) single Requirements contract award.

Holmium (Ho-YAG) Surgical Lasers are solid-state lasers which typically emit wavelengths of 2,100 to 2,140 nm. Lasers ablate tissue with minimal hemostasis, little charring, and a thin zone of necrosis. Common clinical applications for holmium lasers include urology, gynecology, gastroenterology, and general surgery. Laser lithotripsy for breaking up kidney stones is the most common procedure.
