Notice of Intent to Sole Source Extension of the Period of Performance of the U.S. Embassy Lilongwe Agreement with the Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) for Locally Employed Staff Health Insurance for Eight Months from April through November 2025

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT for the Government to award Sole Source extension for Locally Employed Staff Health Insurance at U.S. Embassy Lilongwe. This modification will be under NAICS code 524114 to Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM).  The estimated period of performance is up to 8 months.

U.S. Embassy Lilongwe intends to award a sole source extension of the period of performance of an existing contract with MASM to provide health insurance to locally employed staff in Malawi for four months from December 2024 through March 2025.  MASM is the incumbent provider.  Its current successful performance of the necessary services and management of complex employee enrollment and coverage data makes it uniquely qualified to provide coverage during a limited four month extension of the period of performance of the existing agreement while the Embassy prepares the necessary materials to issue a solicitation for full and open competition ....
