MQ-9A Unmanned Air System (UAS) Engineering Logistics Support (ELS) Optix Sustainment

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD, awarded a modification to Order N0001925F0024 under existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0001922G0006 to General Atomics – Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), Poway, CA, for the procurement of Common Intelligence Picture (CIP) Optix software sustainment.

This acquisition was awarded on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The determination by the Government not to compete this effort was solely within the discretion of the Government.

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD, intends to negotiate and award a modification to Order N0001925F0024 under existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0001922G0006 to General Atomics – Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), Poway, CA, for the procurement of Common Intelligence Picture (CIP) Optix software sustainment. CIP is integrated into the Electronic Warfare (EW) Pod of the United States Marine Corps (USMC)  MQ-9A Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS).
