Synopsis for the proposed Maintenance Dredging of Saugerties Harbor Federal Navigation Project – Esopus Creek, Saugerties, New York

The New York District (NAN) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to perform maintenance dredging of the Saugerties Harbor Federal Navigation Project.  The dredged material shall be transported to and placed into a government furnished upland dredge material placement site (DMPS) at Houghtaling Island, New Baltimore, NY.  The proposed maintenance dredging will require the removal of approximately 34,000 cubic yards of critical shoals from the Federal Navigation Channel (FNC) at Saugerties Harbor, Esopus Creek, Saugerties, NY. ....
