Synopsis

The New York District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to perform maintenance dredging of the Bronx River, NY Federal Channel. The dredged material would be dredged and subsequently placed at the Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS), approximately four (4) miles east of Sandy Hook, New Jersey. Placement at the HARS requires the contractor to utilize large-capacity ocean-going scows. The proposed maintenance dredging would remove approximately 200,000 cubic yards of dredged material from the Bronx River.
