DoWEA requires access to a research-driven, interactive, standards-aligned and immersive language resource that should be available on multiple platforms, designed to help students develop language proficiency in a variety of world languages through scaffolded lessons in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The selected resource should use a variety of student and teacher tools to give students immediate language feedback, including speech-recognition technology.
