Interferometer Acquisition

NASA/MSFC has a requirement for an Interferometer that will be used to measure large flat optics that are used for space-based telescope alignment and calibration. The Interferometer will need to interface with the existing hardware controller, laser alignment system, beam expander (32” BEX), and other optical bench components.

NASA/MSFC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the Interferometer from Zygo Corporation under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1).  

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
