High Mach Gas Turbine (HMGT) Engine Design Study

The APO, working in cooperation with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Propulsion Directorate (AFLCMC/LP), intends to jump start the development of a HMGT engine program compatible with the needs of future reusable hypersonic aircraft. Phase 1 seeks to conduct conceptual and preliminary design efforts along with subsystem/component testing.
