Synopsis

GPO seeks proposals from qualified firms to create an as-built architectural 3D model, also known as a Building Information Model (BIM), of the entire Washington, DC GPO campus, Buildings A, B, C and D. The approximate gross area is roughly 1,500,000 square feet. The second and third floors of Building D have been scanned, and there is a model of the third floor. These floors will need either full scan and model, BIM coordination, or both. The BIM model is expected to encompass architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), life safety components, major equipment, energy modeling, and space management information. The space management information to be identified includes identification, type and measurements of all assignable and common spaces and areas encountered in the buildings; types of spaces and areas may include corridors, offices, conference rooms, restrooms, shafts, mechanical rooms, elevators, and production areas. See RFP for more details.
