Q1: Please confirm the type and thickness of insulation desired for the existing storage tank.
A1: 1” fiberglass pipe and tank wrap. 

Q2: The SOW mentions replacing the existing heat exchangers with “equivalent (or larger if required)” and that they should be capable of maintaining 160-degree water in the 2,000-gallon tank. To determine if equivalent heaters will be sufficient or if larger heaters are required, please provide the design load requirements, typically expressed as gallons per minute at a specified heat rise.

Update provision, 52.212-2 Evaluation—Commercial Products and Commercial Services.

• Award will be made to the responsible Quoter whose quote conforms to the requirements and is determined to provide the best value to the Government, considering the evaluation factors outlined below. 

(1) Price - The government will evaluate the Quoter’s proposed price to ensure it is fair and reasonable;
(2) Past Performance – Past performance information shall include prior experience and similar performances undertaken by the contractor.
