9 MILE HAND THINNING
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada State Office has a requirement for the vegetation management activities with an objective of reducing hazardous fuels. Treatments are designed to break up fuel continuity across the landscape to reduce the threat of large, uncharacteristic wildfires that could potentially lead to loss of key ecosystem components. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies and materials to lop and scatter 3,761 acres (Units 1-15) of pinyon and/or juniper trees.
