ESTIMATING ECONOMIC IMPACTS FROM BUILDING OPERATIONS

The General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking contracted services to develop a streamlined model for estimating the economic impacts associated with Federal office operations. GSA is seeking the development of a simple and repeatable methodology to estimate the economic activity associated with Federal office occupancies.  The purpose of the model is to help inform GSA decision making and discussions with local governments about the economic activity generated by Federal building occupancy and operation.  The methodology is not intended to provide precision in estimating impacts, but rather it must provide accuracy sufficient to make meaningful comparisons between existing or proposed occupancies.
