Disaster Relief West Fork Beaver Creek Trail

The scope of this project is to reconstruct two sections totaling approximately 560
feet of 72” wide, full bench stock trail and 9,000 of 36” wide trail restoration to
access the site. Reconstruction is within extremely steep slopes, loose soils,
extensive rock, eroding rock cliffs, outcroppings, and bedrock. This work is
related to the flood event of June 2022. The project is located in wilderness. Work
included repeated, extensive surface and subsurface blasting to establish a 72” full
bench trail and remove excess material from the backslope and hillside above the
trail. Use of jack hammers, rock bars and picks will be necessary as well.
