This acquisition will be negotiated on a SOLE SOURCE basis with Howden North America Inc. per FAR 6.302-1 utilizing FAR Parts 12 and 13, Commercial and Simplified Acquisition Procedure and FAR 13.106-l(b)(l)(i) which states that for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand­name, or industrial mobilization)
