The existing Tonto Creek Bridge (no. 031204000003356) was built in 1956 and is a single lane, concrete slab bridge. NFSR 289 is a two-lane roadway that accesses several residential homes, a fish hatchery, and a summer camp along with many recreational sites and trailheads.
