\nSBA Working Capital Loans Due to Wildfires<\/h1>\n

\nSACRAMENTO, Calif.<\/strong> \u2013 Director Tanya N. Garfield of the U.S. Small Business Administration\u2019s Disaster Field Operations Center-West today reminded California small businesses of the July 16, 2021, deadline to apply for an SBA federal disaster\n loan for economic injury caused by wildfires that occurred Sept. 4 – Nov. 17, 2020.<\/p>\n

\nAccording to Garfield, small nonfarm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations of any size may apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million to help meet working\n capital needs caused by the disaster. \u201cEconomic Injury Disaster Loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that cannot be paid because of the disaster\u2019s impact. Economic injury assistance is available regardless of whether\n the applicant suffered any property damage,\u201d Garfield said.<\/p>\n

\nThese low-interest federal disaster loans are available in the counties below:<\/p>\n

\nCalifornia counties:  Del Norte, Fresno, Glenn, Humboldt, Imperial, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Lake, Lassen, Los Angeles, Madera, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Modoc, Mono, Monterey, Napa,\nOrange<\/strong>, Plumas, Riverside<\/strong>, San Benito, \nSan Bernardino<\/strong>, San Diego, Shasta, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Tehama, Trinity, Tulare, Tuolumne, Ventura and Yolo;<\/p>\n

\nArizona counties:  La Paz and Mohave;<\/p>\n

\nNevada county:  Clark;<\/p>\n

\nOregon counties:  Jackson, Josephine and Klamath.<\/p>\n

\nThe interest is 3 percent for businesses and 2.75 percent for private nonprofit organizations with terms up to 30 years. Loan amounts and terms are set by SBA and are based on each applicant\u2019s financial condition.<\/p>\n

\nApplicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at\n\nhttps:\/\/disasterloanassistance.sba.gov\/<\/a>. Applicants may also call SBA\u2019s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email\n\ndisastercustomerservice@sba.gov<\/a> for more information on SBA disaster assistance. Individuals who are deaf or hard\u2011of\u2011hearing may call (800) 877-8339.
